Below are some of our most frequently asked questions to help you with your booking

Frequently Asked Questions

What time can we check in?

Check in is strictly from 1pm – 8pm for camping & touring and 2pm-8pm for the Pods.  If you arrive any earlier than this, you will have to wait till 1pm as your pitch will not be ready.  If you can’t make it till after 8pm because of ferries etc., please let us know in advance.

What time do we have to check out at?

Check out time is 11am sharp.

Is there a late checkout?

During peak season there aren’t any late checkouts possible.  However, if you would like to make the most of the day and go to the beach you can park in the carpark.  Parking is charged at €5 per day and is subject to availability.

Can we bring a second car with us?

Yes, you can bring a second car but it won’t be able to access the main campsite at any time and must be parked in the main carpark.  Parking is charged at €5 per day and spaces are available on a first come first served basis.

Can we light fires or use fire pits?

Unfortunately, due to our proximity to the dunes fires with naked flames are not permitted.  Charcoal and gas BBQ’s are allowed so long as they are off the ground.  Please do not dispose of hot or cold coals anywhere near your pitch.

Is there a charge for gazebos or awnings?

There is no charge for these so long as they fit on your pitch and they don’t go on to the adjacent pitch.

What do we need to use the electricity?

You will need a long camping lead.  We’d recommend a 25m lead but a 15 meter lead should work on most of our pitches it just depends on which side of your unit you run your lead to.

Please note we do not rent or sell electrical leads so be sure to purchase one before your holiday.

Here are some things to look out for when purchasing a lead

Total protection with built – in RCD (residual current device)
Extra protection with built in circuit breaker
IP44 dust & splash proof
Three UK 3 pin sockets
Minimum 15 metre connection lead included

Typical electric lead for camping

This is the connection that plugs into our power points

Can we bring our dog with us?

Yes you can bring your dog with you at no extra charge if you are in the touring area.  However dogs are not permitted in the Pods.  Dog’s must be kept on leads at all times and cleaned up after.  A maximum of two dogs per family.  If you have your dog on a long leash on your pitch it must not let the dog go further than the edge of your pitch.

The Control of Dogs Regulations 1998 impose additional rules in relation to the following breeds (and strains/cross-breeds) of dog:

  • American pit bull terrier
  • English bull terrier
  • Staffordshire bull terrier
  • Bull mastiff
  • Dobermann pinscher
  • German shepherd (Alsatian)
  • Rhodesian ridgeback

  • Wear a collar bearing the name and address of their owner at all times.

We have too much gear! Can we bring a trailer with us?

Yes you can bring a trailer but it needs to be able to fit on your pitch.    If your unit, trailer and car can’t fit on your pitch you will have to park your car in the carpark which costs €5 per day and is subject to availability.

Will my tent fit on the pitch?

Please check the dimensions of your tent on the manufactures website.  Our average grass pitch is 8M wide x 10M long.  This should be ample space to fit a large family tent and also park your car.  If you have an unusually large tent or an odd shaped tent we have a limited number of large pitches available or alternatively you can park your car in the carpark.  The cost for this is €5 per day and is subject to availability.

Can we select our own pitch?

During peak times, sites are allocated between 11am and 1pm once pitches become available so it’s not possible to choose. On arrival you are brought down to your pitch by a member of staff.  Please note that if you move to any other pitch other than the one allocated to you, you will have to move your unit to your allocated pitch.

If I’m holidaying with other families, will we all be pitched together?

If you have added a note on your booking with your friends booking reference we will do our best to get you in the same area as them.  Please note there is no guarantee of this during peak season.

Are commercial vehicles permitted on the site?

Commercial vehicles are not permitted in the camping area.  If you are towing a caravan with a commercial vehicle it will be able to drop your unit to your pitch but it will have to park in our main car park.  Parking is €5 per day and subject to availability.
