Camping

Camping at Morriscastle has never been easier. Whether you are holidaying on your own, with your family or with a group we can accommodate tents in one of our many Camping areas – Beachside, The Garden, Duneside or Parkside – all with electricity points and water nearby. Larger tents are welcome but there may be an extra charge on 8/10 man+ tents depending on our availability. Please note that during peak months it may not be possible to erect day tents/awnings/extensions and booking ahead is essential!

Camping FAQ’s

What time is Check-in and Check-out for tents?
Check-in is available from 1pm and Check-out is strictly before 12 midday in peak season. If it’s not extremely busy, there is a possibility for extension of stay if your pitch is not needed – €5 and €10 option. Check at Reception the day/evening before for availability.
Can I choose my own pitch?
During peak times, sites are allocated between 12 and 1pm once pitches become available so it’s not possible to choose. On arrival you are brought down to your pitch by a member of staff. When the camping is less busy, you are welcome to choose between a number of available pitches.
If I’m camping with other families, will we all be pitched together?
If your group booking is made well in advance we will do our best to locate you in a group camping area. This is all dependent on the size of your group, availability of space and pre-bookings taken to date.
Will I have the option to connect to electrics on my camping pitch?
Yes, 98% of our camping pitches have an electrical point for you to hook up to. You need to bring your own camping lead though – we have a number of leads to rent but once they’re gone they’re gone!
Can we use BBQ’s or Firepits at Morriscastle?
BBQ’s are more than welcome but must be up off the ground. Please avoid getting rid of your bbq or coals in our bins as this can cause fires – they can be left in our bin area to cool down.Supervised firepits are acceptable as long as they are controlled and put out when/if requested by security.
Can we bring our dog camping?
Yes, dogs are more than welcome [we feel they’re a big part of the family!]. They must be kept on leads at all times and cleaned up after. They are also welcome on Morriscastle Beach through summer on leads.
